Guitar Hero vs Real Guitar

If you know how to play guitar then a real guitar is better.

If you dont and want to a GH guitar is a good alternative.

I choose Real as i play guitar.

haha, ya, but if you watch the video on GH3 of Slash, he does say that it is a little harder. and it is with the timing and how you cand even realy touch the other key while hitting one.

Sorry I don’t think seeing a guy pick up a plastic guitar is sexy....Nothing beats the real thing. It’s like saying wacking off to porn, or fucking the actual thing!

Jenn - yes, the hitting the “real thing” is 1000x better than “wacking off”, but both provide real relief. Both satisfy a real biological mechanism. (again, a real woman is much more fun).

Playing a real instrument (I play the violin) has nothing at all in common with the button-mashing whack-a-mole games. Learning rhythm, pitch, tonality, always striving to learn more, having the instrument become a part of you while you _make_ music, there’s nothing like it (except maybe sex).

That said, there’s nothing wrong with games.

What GH people fail to understand is that intricacies such as picking, strumming, and using both hands up and down the neck takes years of practice.

What about bar chords for instance. How about hammer on/offs?

I know many 30+ GH idiots who really think they got what it takes. I love to put a real guitar in front of them and ask them to play. Their faces tell the story. What a bunch of dorks.

It is our instant gratification society...just another short cut for the lazy folks.

I’d prefer learning to play a real guitar as it’s presumed longevity would be far superior than an instrument from a video game.

I have been playing the normal guitar for about 9 years now and I am a gamer as well. My concern is that some of the younger generation will forget about the normal guitar and by the time they played guitar hero and get godly at it, they could of learned how to master the real thing. On the other hand I see guitar hero as a way to get into music and it might lead to the real thing. I am really split between those to out comes. Honestly it depends on the person and how they are. If I had a choice I would (sorry gamers but I like getting laid at the bar when I do a show with my band) stick with the real thing.

real guitar is cooler but guitarhero is harder, real guitar you more kinda jack off whit the guitar but on guitarhero you press the buttons down, if you started learning a kinda hard guitar song and started playing guitar hero at the same time, you would get the song faster on real guitar then hitting all the notes on exspert on guitar hero , and on guitar hero you need much faster finger and need to be more acurate to hit the notes, you dont have to on real guitar, but real guitar is cool i idmit that. soo.. guitar hero on me becaus i kinda like a hard challange

You play whit both hands on the guitar neck on guitar hero too, ans you strum on guitar hero too... and guitar hero as their own verson of hammerons and pull offs that is kinda like real guitar, before you say your opinion reasearch more about both things you idiot
