Thanos is untouched by his nova attack (which vaporizes thanos' ship completely), then KO’s him by pulling over an asteroid field. Fallen one’s body falls and destroys the gas giant below (suggesting ~1000x the size of earth, a la jupiter); thanos is completely unscathed by the explosion. He then touches fallen one’s KO’d head and makes him his thrall.
What it comes down to is if Thanos can connect that blast with Goku, which won’t be easy due to Goku’s insane combat speed. He’s at the very least massively Hypersonic. If Goku is able to connect a FP point black Kamehameha at Thanos before he uses those gloves then he might be able to take it. He’s going to have to dodge like mad though.
Thanos with the gloves takes out Celestials, but, will he be able to hit someone moving as fast as Goku? When he uses the gloves it’s like a beam attack correct? If I’ve got it wrong then by all means, correct me.

So what makes Thanos so special when he DOESN’T have the jewellry? I hear he’s just an all rounder e.g. strength,durability,intelligence but not that much speed.

this statement shows how little you read comics. you love to talk time stop with dio and how people can’t move huh, well thanos has this lil gem called the time gem, and it’s universal(not 30 ft), this stopped all cosmic abstract beings, this completely owns anyone in this fight, if thanos has the ig this is a serious ass beating for the entire list at the same time. thanos with the ig fought 12 abstract beings(including death), lived put them all in a status field. he thinks it they all die.

Yeah, Thanos with the IG is a real god, not like most so called “gods” in fiction. Gods are a joke in fiction. I’m glad Thanos showed what a true god looks like.

he sure did, and something the noobs really don’t know, is thanos with the ig is stronger than the living tribunal, you say im crazy ok, warlock punked him in his court by saying he didn’t have the strength to take the ig from him(actually he finished a statement the lt made doubting himself), thanos even speaks on how warlock has had the soul gem forever and doesn’t know how to use it. thanos gazed into the infinity well and gained infinite knowledge.
i want yall to read his descriptions of these gems and tell me he wasn’t god over everybody.
