Technically, no. Snake has a slower reaction speed then Chief does.



Well, it’s a good thing no one ever said that. However, I want to clarify MC has dodged bullets.



You fail to understand MC is no ordinary man. MGS is about Snake infiltrating bases full of normal soldiers. Not a one ton cyborg from the future.

Actually, he would. Not only is Master chief’s senses enhanced naturally, the suit plus Cortana would allow MC to hear Snake’s footsteps from a good distance.



Snakes specialty it to sneak past normal soldiers. MC =/= Normal

Except for the large variety of super freak soldiers Snake has to fight as well.

Slower reaction time means very little in sniping, so I don’t know what this has to do with anything. I would also like proof that MC has a faster reaction time than Snake. (I want evidence from either Halo game 1, 2 or 3)

MC hasn’t dodged bullets in the game. The closest he done is run for cover while under fire, which Snake has done as well.

Snake infiltrates areas of all kind, normal and super soldiers.

How close do you really think Snake will try to get to MC? He only needs to be close enough to put a Rail Gun round through MC’s head. I’ll give the fair distance of a maximum 500 yards away for a guaranteed shot. MC doesn’t hear walking from 500 yards away or else he’d be deaf from all the other noises in between, including his own footsteps that would sound like artillery. Once again, I would like proof from one of the games about how sensitive MC’s hearing is.

Lastly, Snake isn’t trying to “sneak past” MC. He would just lie in wait, quietly and invisible and wait for heavy ass MC to give himself away.

Patience and perception is of more importance, sniping is not a quick draw. You have to anticipate where your target is headed and where he will be if he is moving, and also what will be his next move. Reaction time is for pot shots, which is not something that snipers commonly practice, as you are more likely to miss than to hit, which kinda works against “one shot, one kill”.

Using video games as sniping references, such as counter strike, unreal, etc... is just plain idiotic. If you actually know anything about the art of sniping, you wouldn’t be so dismissive.

No reaction time is needed for Snake if he is trying to land the first shot on MC when MC has no idea where Snake even is.

For one, those of you who say that MC’s weapons are the same as what we have today are full of BS. One firearm is not equal to another, especially in penetrating power. Just look at the difference between a Thompson and an M16. That’s a couple of decades. Imagine what would happen with a couple CENTURIES.
Also, the Chief HAS enhanced intelligence, along with strength, reaction time/reflexes, senses and all other kinds of goodies.
What the Snake fans seem to assume is that MC is a big dumb brute and is unaware that he and Snake want to kill each other.
As for hand to hand, MC can destroy a freakin tank by beating it.
For the cloaking, MC has radar, and he can get cloaking too, and (in 3) carry it around until he needs it. He can also get invincibility
And since snake gets all of his weapons and equipment, it only seems fair that the Chief gets his spartan laser, sniper rifle, rocket launcher, hornet and everpresent assault rifle, not to mention pelican drops whenever he needs a new ride.
Master Chief wins.

MC’s motion detector on extends to 25 meters max, his invisibility is temporary, he is HEAVY.

If neither knows where the other is, and Snake is superior at hiding, then what makes you think MC will find him first? MC will make a crap ton more noise because of his weight and that his cloak is only temporary.

One more clue that I think you are taking this thread far too seriously. It’s suppose to be fun, and an outlet to come up with creative ways for one character or another to win.

But I was just referring to frustration in general. Granted the tone of your language doesn’t pass over the forum medium very well, so it’s hard to tell if someone is writing something in mocking or out of stress.

MC would be able to find Snake because of his motion tracker in his suit. Cortana would be able to literally give him a constant stream of information......kinda like a 10 people watching all your blind spots constantly; therefore, MC would never be able to be sneaked up upon. According to the halo books MC was trained by the best of his time to be combat ready in any situation. For example he was able to take out a bunker with motion tracking machine guns in a pitch black room, suggesting he can see in the dark. MC also got neurological surgery to make his body respond at a supernatural level meaning he can snap Snake’s head off before he even needs to think. Imagine making your body move at the speed of thought.

Bottom Line:
Master Chief-Armor= Snake x 10 + Neurological Surgery

On top of this, the suit is hooked up to this enhanced nervous system, and literally is moved by thought, not muscle. Add Cortana to the suit and he can react EVEN FASTER.

I don’t know about the rest of this.
But i don’t recall snake having enchanced reflexes,and its common knowledge on the chief that his are.
