Muggles VS Harry Potter Wizards in a giant war around the world

Who Do you think would win? the muggles? or wizards?
the muggles have numbers, nukes, machine guns and many other ways to reek destruction, Wizards have spells but are limited and i doubt they would be able to stop a nuke...

if the muggles attacked with nukes, it would take all of the wiz. power to stop one and the muggles could blow the fuck out of them while they are distracted...

I think Rowling once admitted that one of the reasons why wizards are hiding is that they are afraid of possiblity of a war with muggles, because they would lose it for sure.

Nukes? Would that not also cause Muggle casualties?

I’m more interested in what you imagine they are going to nuke? Hogwarts where no electronic works and that for any muggler looks like a old ruined castle with a “no trespassing” sign?

What one needs to understand about the War that would take place in the Harry Potter Universe, is that the Wizards isn’t going to line up on a long line and then walk towards the mugglers army, this isn’t a first world war scenario.

They will (providing the Deatheaters is involved and even if they isn’t I think they still would) fight dirty. The Wizards can with their magic become more lethal then any terrororganisation, they can strike anywhere at any time when they wishes it, forget about finding out anything, one day the plane just crashes, the power keeps going out, trains gets derailed, The armies weapons keeps disappearing.

No one will be safe, the leading politicians and generals will be either replaced ore simply put under the Imperius Curse. USA is right now showing exactly how difficult this kind of battle will be, fighting a foe that can strike anywhere and looks exactly like the civilian population (and a small bonus for the Wizards) and that can disappear at any time they want to and teleport themselves to another part of the globe.

Who are we going to nuke and attack? Everyone?
