New/Young X-Men Respect Thread

A respect thread for the New X-Men.(Credit to Exodus Cloak and xmarksthespot)


First off some biographical info.
The thread will focus mainly on the current team:

Surge, Hellion, Mercury, Dust, Rockslide and X-23.

Hellion
Julian has shown himself to be one of the most powerful and versatile members of the team.

He’s learned to use his telekinetic abilities to fly, to form constructs - such as discs to levitate his teammates and bulletproof forcefields. He can also project powerful blasts of concussive force and levitate multiple tons with little effort.

Hellion
Julian has also shown that he has a huge amount of untapped potential.

Emma unlocked some of this potential in order for him to save X-23’s life. He flies her back to the mansion, casually lifting a truck up to punch his way through a Sentinel. That’s Dallas, Texas to Salem Center, NY in a matter of seconds. Likely somewhere upwards of 1,000,000 mph.


Since this occurred, although his power level has lowered to an extent, it’s still significantly higher than before. The amount of effort it used to take to move a paperclip can now blow a large hole through the Danger Room floor.

X-23

X-23 is much more then just a Wolverine clone...in fact she seems to have the potential to be far superior to her predecessor...of course this is assuming she isn’t already.

At the age of Eleven X-23 manages to undergoe the same training session as Wolverine during his Weapon X days. The session itself involves close ranged combat with two Wolves followed by an encounter with a Bear.
X-23 performs within 0.09% synchronicity with the data accumulated from her predecessors run. However in this session she manages to improvise outperforming Weapon X by a whole 3 minutes 24 seconds.




In a way the appeal to her character is that we seem to have learnt more about her in the last three issues of Target X then we have about Wolverine in the last three decades.

X-23

One things for sure X-23 is an extremely skilled individual for her age. This feat demonstrates her phenomenal speed, agility, accuracy, heightened reflexes and a bit of combat awareness as well.
X-23 is busy trying to outrun a group of Weapon X Soldiers. They try and cut her off by dismounting a helicopter a few feat in front of her. She manages to silence them permanently before they even get the chance to aim and fire.
She also manages to take out the pilot of the Weapon X helicopter via a head shot using one of the Weapon X Guns.(Granted the gun does have a scope)
Afterwards she does battle with Kimura(Possibly her very own “Sabertooth” rival). Kimura seems superior in every possible way. However X-23 manages to use the environment to her own advantage. She causes an avalanche using an object as simple as a handgun trapping both her and Kimura in the vast amounts of snow. Both survive.
But X-23 manages to allude Weapon X’s capture.

New X-Men vs Nimrod

Unaware that it’s been reprogrammed to protect mutants the New X-Men attack Nimrod. X-23 and Mercury cause sufficient damage that it reboots - and reverts to it’s original programming. It causes an explosion leveling part of the building. Hellion manages to shield the New X-Men and Forge from the blast though.


Rockslide and Mercury brace the weight of the fallen building debris.

X-23 detects Julian’s heart-rate and that he has a concussion using her senses.

New X-Men vs Nimrod

Nimrod attacks again, Surge projects electricity at it to no avail. It sets off another explosion of force, flooring them all. Rockslide steps into the path of Nimrod’s blast and is blasted to dust - seemingly destroyed. Hellion protects himself with a forcefield and lashes out with a TK blast.


X-23 does some damage to the outer chassis. Hellion flies at Nimrod amplifying his kick with telekinesis, then continues the attack with Dust, while the others formulate a plan.

New X-Men vs Nimrod

Hellion’s forcefield holds up against Nimrod’s assault. Dust intervenes clouding Nimrod’s sensory systems, creating an opening for X-23 to do major damage to Nimrod’s chassis. She’s blasted by Nimrod, severely burned - although she does survive the attack her healing factor is overwhelmed.


Mercury claws open the damage inflicted by X-23, preventing Nimrod from repairing and creating an opening to the chronal device within. She holds on despite her weakness to electricity as Nimrod casts an electrical shockweb. Surge then proceeds to overload Nimrod’s chronal device with electricity (while Mercury is still in contact) causing it to be pulled out of time. Hellion pulls Surge off of Nimrod with his TK just in time.

New X-Men vs Nimrod: Aftermath

Despite her electricity weakness and being shocked with sufficient electricity to overload Nimrod’s device - Mercury has already basically recovered. They discover Rockslide wasn’t killed despite being reduced to dust. Hellion uses some fine control TK to help him reconstitute himself.

X-23 is severely injured and taken back to the mansion by Hellion for healing - for scans see above.

X-23

Not only is she skilled but she is a cunning, and intelligent individual. In the following scans X-23 demonstrates precision, heightened senses, her cunning nature by manipulating Captain America into aiding her in her grand escape, her well versed knowledge in the area of human physiology and her fluency in linguistics.

Note*- “Each victim was cut and/or stabbed in either the brain stem, jugular or aorta with incredible precision."

“Twenty-seven innocent people. Twelve of them women, and two boys ages thirteen and fifteen.“

Showing that X-23 is an emotionally detached skilled killer. Also note how Captain America is coaxed into practically opening the door to her escape.



X-23’s heightened senses are literally off the charts. Here she is able to locate the whereabouts of her Cousins school by using the very scent of her cousin. She also shows off her vast knowledge in Human Physiology and Linguistics. And also happens to have a very good memory regurgitating the Principals speech back at her word for word.

X-23 & Mercury

X-23 detects the attackers as they’re approaching. The attackers explode the coffee house – both are essentially unharmed. X-23 fights back using her skills and claws, while Mercury morphs her fingers into sharp talons to fight. Mercury is shot with an arrow that takes advantage of her electrical weakness and taken captive. X-23 is also shot with arrows, she takes one and stabs a soldier. She tries to fight [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kimura_(comics)]Kimura[/url] to no avail, but uses her guile - pulling the pin from a hand grenade - to cause Kimura some damage, but escapes. X-23 recovers quickly from the force of the explosion.

Hellion & X-23

The duo leave to rescue Cessily. Hellion provides the transportation – he blasts through the roof, shaking the entire mansion, and flies too fast for the Sentinels to properly track them. X-23 stabs a man’s head through a door and takes a barrage of bullets. The men try to flee, but Hellion stands in the path of their car letting it crash right into his forcefield and flipping it. He then pulls the door off and takes the man’s gun with TK. X-23 can tell the man is telling the truth (enhanced senses) – she mercilessly kills him anyway.

New X-Men vs Stryker’s Purifiers

Hellion TK blasts an assailant off of Emma Frost. Surge speedblitzes two purifiers, but gets hit by a third. The Purifiers are prepared and have weapons that can penetrate Hellion’s TK forcefield.

Mercury and Rockslide use their durability and strength to pummel the Purifiers. Dust awakens amid the chaos – enraged she turns to dust-form and attacks, shredding off the armor, skin, flesh and organs of the Purifiers right down to the bone.

X-23 arrives in time to save Noriko. She takes machinegun fire as she guts one of the Purifiers, then shows some acrobatic skills as she dices up the other two.

X-23

X-23 has a built in trigger that sends her into berzerker rage as soon as she picks up the specific scent. She started her conditioning early, when she was 8 years old.



Once in Berzerker Rage X-23 has absolutely no control over her actions and attacks anyone in her path placing the entire mansion at risk. As usual Emma Frost was right.

X-23

So far the trigger has made her kill her own Mother, Sensei, Cousin and Aunt.

X-23

The trigger itself was only ever used in extreme circumstances. The Kingpin once hired Weapon X to take out a person called Dilorenzo. Who happened to have the power of invisibility. A unique criminal in the sense that he could walk right through Kingpins security and not be detected.



As usual Dilorenzo was outsmarted. X-23 posing as the Kingpins kidnapped niece ripped Dilorenzo and his men to pieces, his invisibility was of no help due to X-23’s heightened senses.

House of M

During the House of M the New X-Men were training to be fully fledged Shield operatives.

Here are a few feats from the Crossover:

Hellion TK shields block a gun shot from a japanese “terrorist”. Mercury uses her body to create a wall between an explosion and her fellow New Mutants. Dust attacks a bomber with a sand cloud and Surge demontrates some super speed.



Hellion TK blasts a group of enemies and contains them in a TK Bubble. Surge fires a Lightning Blast she also manages to take out Ford via an Electric shock. Elixir is taken out by physical means.

House of M

More feats from the Crossover:

Mercury is able to morph her body into various shapes including blades that can hold their own against Donald Pierce’s blades. Dust contains an enemy in a Sandstorm while Surge demonstrates more super speed.
Hellion now effected by Wallflowers phermones attacks Surge with a powerful TK Blast. Dust who’s also effected keeps Synch from concentrating via a Sandstorm. And another speed feat by Surge.

House of M

A few more feats from the House of M:

Hellions TK Shields hold against Surges Electric Attack. He also blasts Prodigy off a cliff and once Wallflowers phermones wear off he quickly saves him via a TK bubble. Dust traps Jubilee in a sandstorm. Surge electrifies Illyana via her own sword. Surge and Hellion cause more havoc.
