Official Versus Debater Ratings

Rules of Rating

1. You may only rate any single person 1 time. Alternate accounts do not count, only their main account gets the rating. You may update your rating for a person, but you MUST state if you’re updating it or not to prevent duplicate ratings.
2. You MAY NOT rate yourself.
3. Do NOT give a range for a person. Example being “I think bob is a 4 or a 5”
4. Do not beg for ratings in this thread.
5. Don’t complain about a rating in this thread. That is very immature and if you complain you’re only proving your given rating right.
6. Be honest with your ratings. If I think you’re simply rating somebody lowly or highly based on how much you like them, I will not count it.



10 - Rarely loses debates, almost always provides scans or video for their claims.

09 - Very high level debater. Loses somtimes but puts up very strong arguments. Usually always provides claims.

08 - High level debater. Loses from time to time but more then often wins. Usually backs up claims.

07 - Great debater. Does lose but keeps their calm. Tends to back up their more extreme claims but not everything.

06 - Good debater. Loses and wins about the same. Admits defeat and carries themself well. Occasionally backs up claims but usually sticks to more well known characters and feats to avoid it.

05 - mid level debater. Not good and not bad. Rarely backs up their claims but usually remains fairly unbiased.

04 - low level debater. Usually loses debates, but still remains unbiased and calm. Rarely backs up claims, but still will surprise every once in a while.

03 - Really low level debater. Loses most debates and sometimes gets flustered when they lose. Rarely backs up claims, but is still generally a pleasant person to debate with.

02 - Bad debator. Loses most debates and gets mad easily. Usually insults opponents a few times and leaves the debate.

01 - Raging fanboy, makes outrageous claims and never backs them up and results to insults whenever they are opposed. Doesn’t leave lost debates and continues insulting and arguing even when they’ve clearly lost.

00 - Troll, just a troll who likes to flame those who doesn’t agree with his opinion, and generally throws out racist/derogatory remarks.




This is how ratings will be determined. Everyone will give a debater a number from 1 to 10 based on what they think of their skill. Those numbers are then added together and divided by the number of votes to determine an average which is where the person will be placed. I will be weeding out votes that seem biased. Mostly if a rating is given that stems way off from what that person is normally getting. For example, bob has an average of 5. A voting of 9 or 10 will likely be counted as biased as it doesn’t reflect most other ratings. This of course can be seen differently if there are only a few ratings beforehand as the debater has no set average beyond 2 or 3 previous ones.
