The 2 vizards were fighting Starrk, then a sword pierced him from out of nowhere in the shadows. It was Shunsui. He then explains his Zanpakto’s ability. Its ability is to make childrens games real. The zanpakto chooses the rules, winner lives loser dies.
There is a game where whoever is the highest elevated wins the game
Another where if you step in a shadow you lose
And a color game where you say a color and then your zanpakto slashes at it. The more of the color both you and your opponent are wearing, the more damage you do.

Here’s my take on Shunsui’s 4 shikai abilities.
1. Bunsho Koma.
The name is taken from Japanese spinning top. I guess Shunsui spins around to create gust of wind and dust that blocks out the opponent’s view. Not an offensive ability, at least it’s not strong enough to harm strong people like Starrk but it helps to create a diversion.
2. Takaoni
Based on this page, it says whoever is higher in terms of altitude wins. But what does it mean by winning? On this page , Shunsui says he meant to kill Starrk in one blow which leads me to believe that this is one of his most lethal move. It is essentially a 1-hit KO, on the condition it actually hits you. Starrk managed to shoot before Shunsui got to him so that’s definitely one way to avoid it. If you’re fast enough to evade it, I think you’re safe too. I don’t know if blocking it with your sword is gonna work but all I’m gonna say is, if Kenpachi decides to give Shunsui one free shot, it’s all over.
3. Kageoni
“Whoever steps on a shadow loses."
I think it’s safe to add, “whoever steps on a shadow FIRST loses” since after stabbing Starrk, Shunsui stepped onto the ground and thus his own shadow but wasn’t harmed. But by that logic, it also means that whoever is on the ground automatically loses because...shadow is by default, beneath you. This is haxx but can be avoided only because in Bleachverse, practically everyone can fly. If someone who cannot fly fights Shunsui......OBD, here I come!
4. Irooni
Monster of colour. This is easily the most confusing one out of all the abilities. There are instances when only Shunsui attacks and then there’s instances when both attack. This leads me to believe that your opportunity to attack isn’t affected. You can attack whenever you want and your opponent can do the same. However, the location where you can attack is definitely limited to the place of the colour mentioned. Also, the damage you dish out is proportional to the amount of colour you have on your own body. But you are also under risk. What risk? I have two theories.
First, you are under risk because your opponent’s attack points(lol RPG) also increases. So it goes both way. However I don’t like this theory because if you think about it, in the end you’re the one at a disadvantage because although the damage done are equal, your entire body is open for attack while it might not be so for your opponent. If your opponent’s shoes are the only place with the same colour, that’s the only option you have but for your opponent, he can pretty much hit anywhere on you and get the same damage.
Second theory, and I like this one more, is that only your own attack point increase. The opponent’s attack points stays the same. However you are still under risk because your entire body is open for attack. Essentially, it means you trade attack for defense. You get to hurt your opponent more in one blow but your opponent will have more chances to hit you at a lesser damage. This is good when fighting people who is weaker or equal to you as you can up your attack while able to defend against his/her attacks. If the opponent is way above you, I don’t think it’s a good strategy.
One particular thing I like about Irooni is that it allows you to fight intelligently or to be more blunt, sneaky. Shunsui was smart to surprise Starrk by throwing his robe at him and immediately followed by a new colour that increase his attack. Shunsui’s own risk was reduced because Starrk wasn’t fast enough to react and hence lost his chance to attack. Smart mov — I mean, what a cunning bastard he is.
This is stupid, wat makes you think it would even work on goku? i read the last issue, but still no proof it would even harm goku. He has show resistance to swords and cuts so his bankai is useless, goku Pwns

honestly i dont see shunsui beating goku since goku has more strength durability basscross had to equalize the speed just for shunsui to stand a chance but still i doubt shunsui can detect IT
