I had speculations as to what the hell is so damn great about these space marines.

There big as hell, they certainly don’t move as fast as the fans make it seem like. And they certainly can’t flip over a Scorpion, which weighs 66 tons according to Sgt. Johnson.

And one of 40k fan’s favorite phrase is “Space Marines have centuries of experience."

No way dude. Experience can only go a long way. It helps yes but luck is always forever on MC’s side.

Otherwise Ras’Al Gure would have kicked Batman’s ass every time they fight if experience is worth more.

How shall I say this... weaker battle brothers have ripped holes in Predators! I don’t know what’s heavier, a Predator or Scorpion. But I’m sure they can, they’re long, but I doubt they’re as heavy Predators though. Omni-Man even stated Space Marines lift 70kg rather than Spartans lifting 40kg. Hell, a Space Marine lifted a truck with people in it. Oh and this truck is not light.

MC wears that Mjonir armor when Space Marines wear... ceramite with a millimeter of adamantium!

No, in the novel I last read they were taking down Feral Orks by the thousands. They only lost a few members to the Warbosses evolved Ork WAAAGH. The Feral Orks did nothing but die.

I’m not sure what the novel was titled, but I am positive you’re referencing Adeptus Custodes. This is not the first time I’ve heard this brought up. In any case, I don’t know why I’m arguing with you that Space Marines can take down ungodly amount of enemies in hand to hand. As I said before Ricery, 40k (like SW) is so large that there is both a high end and a low end, and the gap between is huge.

No, I just got Dawn of War 2 (novel) and the SM characters with some secondary characters were fighting Feral Orks and killing them by the thousands.

Exil thinks a Spartan is stronger than a Space Marine? What?

Just that he isn’t familiar with all the 40k fluff from the codices or the books. And face it, you and marksmen(especially marksmen) have not been doing a good job at presenting 40k like it is.

I’m trying to figure out if a space marine can take a bullet to the head.

What... no wait WHAT?! Of course they can! They are a lot more durable than a human without a gene-seed. Plus with their armor they can survive in space or near a star (well not so close, but one said they can so yeah).

I think there is an instance of a space marine being shot in the eye and the skull stopping the bullet. Let me do a bit of research (on another forum).

Ricrery, you could be very close to a star and still freeze to death. Your body is so small it won’t absorb that much heat. Space Marines are no different.

How durable are there bones? cause i don’t see how the bones could stop plasma based bullets.

Oh, for anybody that’s interested, the Sci-Fi equivalent of a respect thread(s) on Warhammer 40k. http://bbs.stardestroyer.net/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=123079

Well yeah one into the eye is a kill, but one to the head... they can survive that as even normal humans can if lucky.

Plasma based bullets? How is that even fair? Spartans use SMG’s and shotguns! All that plasma tech from the Covvies I assume. But no compare that to Plasma Devastator Squads. Yeah, I hate that in DoW 2. Plus even Space Marines are equipped plasma weapons.

Okay what’s heavier a Predator or Scorpion? I know a Baneblade weighs more than a Scorpion, so what’s heavier a Predator or Scorpion?

Warhammer is a lot older than Halo universe.
Warhammer is technically so above Halo universe.
Do the math.
Some 2500s years tech or something 4000 years?
