That can’t be,Superman’s powers increased when he
came back to life resulting his grew longer. His punch sent Lobo flying into space and I’ve never seen Thor do that to any villian.OK I have my backup for Superman and you have your backup for the Mighty Thor.I already have stated Superman’s amazing ability and his incredible increased powers but you have not provided anything for me to be convinced that Thor is more stronger than Superman.

Well ok I’ll give it to you in terms of strength.Hercules was holding the plannet (earth) using his strength to lift it up,if he let go of the plannet then the earth would be destroyed (remember I can’t remember which comic was it because it was a very long time ago).He was tricked by a god who himself was also lifting the plannet before Hercules did,so in some way the god asked Hercules to hold the plannet for him so that he could catch his breath and regroup.Hercules offered to help but the god lied and vanished,so hercules was supposed to hold the plannet ever since.Thor met Hercules lifting the plannet and Hercules did what the traitor god did to him by asking Thor to hold the plannet for a few minutes to catch his breath. What did Thor do?He offered to help and he actually lifted the plannet (struggling though).

Which then leads me to Superman,in the Wonder Woman vs Spider-Man thread in Google showed a picture of Wonder Woman together with Superman and the Martian Manhunter lifting the plannet using Wonder Woman’s lasso. All three of
them were sweating like hell and Superman complained
“Wonder Woman how much further”.And it looked Wonder Woman anoyed by Superman’s complaints rather than her lifting the
plannet while Jon Jonzz as usual was quite to himself.

This actually goes to show the strength difference between Superman and the Mighty Thor where one lifted an entire plannet himself while the other had help from 2 comrades with super human strength.

That’s because that Superman had short hair,he did not have long hair. His powers were limitet and even if Thor is stronger than Superman (I’m not saying he is) it doesn’t mean he can beat him

Ok back to business.Tracy,it clearly shows that the Mighty Thor outclasses Superman in strength.
Thor lifted the plannet all by himself while Superman needed help from Wonder Woman and the Martian Manhunter.Superman has more powers than Thor, but when it comes to the strength factor then Thor is on a bigger scale than Superman.

Yes and I have already told you that Superman in that comic
had short hair and not long hair.Thor is stronger than Superman with short hair, but I’m not so sure if he is stronger than Superman with long hair.I don’t think the Mighty Thor could punch someone into orbit.

Tracy Lee wrote: I must have seen 3 comics to be exact of Superman featuring
Lobo, obvoiusly there is going to be a fight scene. One comic
which was Adventures of Superman #40 featured Superman with
long hair and Lobo. When these 2 guys fought Superman managed to punch Lobo so hard he sent him rocketing to space and I mean that literally. Superman even said that
“Wow my nuckles don’t even sting, maybe my powers have increased”.Another remarkable scene in that comic was when Superman was in space and encountered an alien ship that shot a beam in Superman’s mid section.Superman then said
“that beam has knocked the air out of my lungs, must go back
to earth, but there’s not enough time”.“Wait a minute, why havint I fainted,is it because of my powers have increased that I don’t need to breath anymore?"

This just goes to show that Superman is indeed powerful and
that’s just a quarter of his true powers. So what do you think?

I’m kind of fasinated by this Superman’s ability to punch a guy and send him into space but I think the increase of Superman’s powers has nothing to do with him having long hair.Maybe the
reason why he was so powerfull is because the sun
increased his powers.Look at Smallville the tv series where Clark tries lift up his dad’s truck but he can’t,he then tries to lift it up again and ends up sending the truck high in clouds. This
scene is even shown on the intro of Smallville season 5/6.Maybe that’s the logical explianation of the super powered Superman.Even in that comic where he fought Lobo, that was on daytime (meaning
Superman must have aborbed the suns heat or something).Even in space even though the sun wasn’t shown, the sun must have been there somehow
because if you are in space then your bound to meet the sun.And remember Tracy, since the sun is a giant star there are other bigger stars than our sun and maybe that’s how Superman’s powers increased.

Damn I never thought of it that way completely, but after Superman sent Lobo rocketing into space he said that his knuckles don’t sting anymore and maybe that his powers increased. But I must say when he came back to life after his battle with Doomsday,he’s powers increased and he became more faster and stronger than he ever was.Which is lately unlike before he uses super speed in almost every comic I read. But I do think you have a point about the sun thing,I remember that scene where Clark hurled a truck into
the clouds.Maybe due to Superman’s awesome powers,it does come from the sun.

So you still think Superman is more stronger than
Thor?

Well maybe Thor is stronger than Superman, but the battle says Superman vs the Mighty Thor which means who is going to win.It doesn’t say WHO’S STRONGER BETWEEN SUPERMAN AND THE MIGHTY THOR.That’s why I’m voting for Superman,he will surely win because he has more powers than Thor.

You wanna know why I’m voting for Thor? It’s simply because the Mighty Thor is a skilled and trained warrior in combat. He was trained by the very best of the Asgardian,so what if Superman has more powers than him.Thor’s hammer commands lightning and no one including the Hulk can lift his hammer. And Thor has fought the Hulk on a number of occassions while Superman is having trouble with Lex Luther in a Iron Man wannabe kryptonite suit.
