The Spirit Bomb takes awhile to charge I doubt he would get the chance with Superman,he won’t have the time or have anyone to keep Superman busy while he charges it.

Well since the earth is the battlefield he could potentially get to a place where Supes would have a hard time finding him. Well maybe, how fast does he go on earth?

And talking about Goku’s flying speed(that everyone says it’s not very impressive)... If we consider DBGT as canon, he is very fast.
Remember his fight with Super 17? They were flying/fighting around the entire world. It was like, in a second they were in the North Pole, and in the other second they were in a tropical beach.

Didn’t he and Kid Buu fight around the kaio planet in the anime? Like a whole punch of craters just appeared out of nowhere because they were fighting. But yes, I agree, he is faster in GT. It’s just the problem with GT is that they watered it down so much.

Goku isn’t going to escape him Superman could easily track him with his super hearing or his sight,not to mention he is a lot faster.
