Since it is most likely going to cause a bit of a problem for some, I am going to list my reasons that I locked the thread here.
This is NOT, I repeat is NOT for debating the thread, this is merely for WHY I locked it. Debating the outcome of the thread is not what this thread is for.
1. Jenova had the better argument. Even by a Broly supporter’s standards.

My thoughts on the matter: I would most definitely say Broly wins in a fight against Sephiroth. Sephiroth does have some edges over Broly(Intelligence, more versitle in powers, better spiritual powers for sure ie. Jenova powers) however, I do believe Broly to be the winner, I only debated with the Sephiroth side because I like to see the under dog be represented as best as possible.
Note: This is only in the vs forum for a little while and will be deleted soon. So other mods, do not move this as it is going to be deleted by myself as soon as everyone who needs to posts in the thread.
I wasn’t flaming Cid because of the debate, I didn’t like how he insulted me and proposing that he was such a great debater, I don’t like conceited people that have no life. >.>

Huh, I didn’t bother debating in that thread because I figured it was in spite to Broly. I think the reason anyone didn’t really bother defending Broly accurately is because it’s a waste of time explaining why he would completely destroy Sephiroth. No one was able to take the debate seriously.
That would be like making a Sephiroth vs Sailormoon thread. Would anyone really care to defend Sephiroth in such a thread and take it seriously?

He told you that you have poor debating skills. Also, calling him a fat fuck and the bolded do NOT help your case any.
And there was no universal agreement, and Sephiroth did not have a stronger argument at all, we didn’t even get into the fact Sephiroth couldn’t do anything to Broly.

I can’t see how Broly would lose at all.
He throws soccer sized balls of energy that destroy moons and he can rapid fire that shit into sephiroths face.

People were taking it seriously, as it resorting in flaming. If you look at it, you can see people were taking the thread seriously, but the Sephiroth argument WAS presented stronger

I believe that was covered in some of Jenova’s first few posts. Negative lifestream I think was mentioned, constant flow of lightning was also mentioned. I don’t remember EVERYTHING that was mentioned.
I think there should be rules established about matching certain characters against each other, to prevent topics like Broly vs Sephiroth from being made. There should be some boundaries set in place.
EDIT: I think one of the reasons that Broly didn’t have the better case is because no one could really believe that such a match up was being made. Honestly, nobody was taking that debate seriously. Otherwise Broly would indeed have had better supporters, like me debating in the thread, which I didn’t because I couldn’t take it serious.

Only problem was that it wasn’t spite in any way, Sephiroth always had a good chance of winning. Leave it up to narrow minded fans to think differently, furthermore this thread is the second time Sephiroth has won against Broly, so counting the fact that the previous thread was decided in Seph’s favor should have made people realize that it wasn’t spite.

The only feat negative lifestream has was killing humans, Ice Cube made it clear it wouldn’t harm Broly. The fact is, it wasn’t a completed debate, and with a stubborn Cid, it probably never would be.

I really don’t want to debate with you about it. I just wouldn’t be able to take it serious. I really do believe it to be in spite to DBZ.

Well, I tried that, and as Jenova(Cid) pointed out as well as Das Wolf, I do NOT have the authority to make such rules. However, if I can find the PM, Bjarne did say that if there is flame bait threads they can be locked.
to the edit: Well that’s their fault though isn’t it? It’s like if you were at a eating contest and only ate 5 pies when you could have eaten 20 and won the game.
