Both characters are pretty much logia-

Dark Mother turned into ground and moved around in this form, was incinerated to ashes but then not only used her ashen form to beat the one who incinerated her. Then she just reformed.

The Element effortlessly beat her. She was noted to be nothing but seaweed in the ocean to it.
